WALLACE — The Wallace Boys Golf Team punched their tickets to the 2A State Tournament earlier this week after finishing second at the 2A District 1-2 Tournament at Shoshone Golf Course in Big Creek.

Finishing just 13 strokes behind champion St. Maries, the Miners will be making another team appearance

The Miners were paced by Josh Allen, who shot an 89 to lead Wallace, but it was it was the Miners’ consistent scoring that kept them in the mix.

Wallace’s lone lady golfer Makenna Merrick did not qualify individually.

The Mullan Tigers saw their golf season end as well with no team or individual qualifiers.

The state 2A tournament is next Monday and Tuesday at River’s Edge Golf Club in Burley.
