OSBURN – The Shoshone County Sheriff’s Officer reports that on Sept. 10 at approximately 10:35 a.m., deputies responded to the City of Osburn to assist the Osburn Police Department (OPD) regarding a threat made to law enforcement.

As a precautionary measure, Silver Hills Elementary and the Wallace Jr/Sr High school were placed on lock-down, but have since been advised that lock-down is no longer needed.

OPD is the primary investigating agency for this matter and OPD Chief Darell Braaten states that he will release more information on the incident at a later time.

The Shoshone News-Press will continue to follow this story.
