Heritage Health's clinic in Kellogg aims to be around for next 50 years

Residents worrying about Heritage Health leaving the Silver Valley can take a deep breath.

The clinic in Kellogg isn't going anywhere, said Heritage Health CEO Mike Baker.

“We're fully committed to the Silver Valley and we are going to be there for the next 50 years,” said Baker. “Myself and our board are excited about the services we offer in the Silver Valley. To ensure that our patients receive the best care possible, we've had to make some changes with some of our staff and our providers recently, and unfortunately, that can leave the wrong impression in a small town.”

Lynn Haughn, Heritage Health Kellogg Clinic Director, said the clinic is extremely busy and a little shorthanded as they wait for new providers to arrive.

“Everyone is doing their best and we're open. We have a new provider starting in November and other doctors from Heritage Health are filling in for us,” said Haughn. “We've got one provider opening and two of our providers are on maternity leave, but they'll be back.”

Last year, almost half of the residents in the Silver Valley received care at the clinic in Kellogg.

"We are the primary care safety-net for the valley and we take this responsibility very seriously,” said Jana Hull, Heritage Health's Board President.

It's a team effort to serve Silver Valley residents.

“We can't do this alone and we truly value our partnership with Shoshone Medical Center,” said Baker. "This community is lucky to have such an incredible hospital available to them and we look forward to working even closer with the hospital to provide even more care in the valley."

Heritage Health's clinic in Kellogg is located at 740 McKinley Avenue. The clinic is open six days a week (closed on Sundays) and offers primary care, mental health and substance abuse treatment services for their patients.

The clinic also offers flu shots, sports physicals, pre-employment physicals, miner

physicals and physicals for commercial driver's licensing.
