SATURDAY, NOV. 11

•Veterans Day

•Veterans Day ceremony at the Silver Valley Veterans memorial in Kellogg at 11 a.m. Followed by a community lunch at the American Legion Hall in Kellogg.

•Wardner Museum Veteran’s Day dedication at 1 p.m. Check out the new veterans bench being placed in front of the museum. It will be closed for the winter for renovations and back open next spring bringing Wardner History to life.

•Wallace Fight Night in the Wallace Civic Auditorium at 4 p.m. Enjoy amateur boxers from the Northwest, Silver Valley, and Canada. Support your local Silver Valley Boxing Club. Free admission to all veterans.

SUNDAY, NOV. 12

•Sixth Street Theater presents “Goin’ for the Gold, Settlin’ for the Silver” at 2 p.m. A musical montage paying tribute to the men and women who established the Silver Valley. Call 208-752-8871 for tickets or visit http://www.sixthstreetmelodrama.com.

MONDAY, NOV. 13

•Making Smart Choices about Medicare at the Osburn VFW Hall at 2 p.m. Four sessions, each with a different topic. Nothing to sell and free to attend. Two of four — “Understanding original Medicare.” Bring your Medicare book. Contact Linda 208-682-2556 for more information.

TUESDAY, NOV. 14

•Making Smart Choices about Medicare classes at 3 p.m. at the Pinehurst Library and 6:30 p.m. at the Kellogg Elks. Four sessions, each with a different topic. Nothing to sell and free to attend. •Free Smoking Cessation Program at noon at Shoshone Medical Center Classroom No. 1, 25 Jacobs Gulch, Kellogg. Four of four classes that include coaching, tools, and cessation aids to be nicotine free for good. Call 784-1221, ext. 350 to sign up.

•Pinehurst City Council meeting at 6 p.m. in City Hall.

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 15

•Wallace Chamber luncheon at Good Sam’s in Silverton at noon. Willy Bartlett from Silver Mountain and Matt Sawyer from Lookout Pass will be the featured speakers. Please RSVP to director@wallaceidahochamber.com.

•Coeur d’Alene section of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration meeting 7:20 p.m. at the Broken Wheel, 102 E. Cameron Avenue, Kellogg. 5:30 p.m. social hour and dinner at 6:30 p.m. Guest speakers: John Bingham, Hart Crowser, Inc. Topic of discussion: Khayyam Mine EE/CA- Investigation Challenges and Risk-Based Justification for No-Action Response. Prince of Wales Island, Alaska.

THURSDAY, NOV. 16

•Story time at the Osburn Public Library from 11 a.m. to noon., 921 Mullan Avenue. For ages 0-5. Singing, crafts, stories, and snacks. Event reoccurs every Thursday.

•Pinochle game at the Kellogg Senior Center from 12 to 2 p.m. Event repeats every Thursday.

•Osburn VFW meeting from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the VFW Hall.

FRIDAY, NOV. 17
