A little story to brighten your day

Print Article

Hard to believe my over 70- year old friend was sitting on her patio one day recently here in North Idaho.

She was sitting on a sturdy lawn chair attired in summer wear; blue jeans and a T-shirt. She was in a relaxed position legs comfortably apart.

Her reverie was interrupted suddenly when she become aware that a chipmunk was racing in her direction, followed by a swallow flying close behind.

The chipmunk saw a way out through my friendsí legs. But the swallow kept coming too, flying right between my friendsí legs.

It all happened so quickly, the chipmunk and the swallow were-just-gone.

That is the end of my story, sorry to leave your hanging.

Rose Zieja,

Osburn
